2023학년도 1학기 중간고사 실시와 관련하여 안내드립니다.

▶ 중간고사 일정:
4월 20일(목) ~ 4월 26일(수)

▶ 시험방식
※ 대면시험을 원칙으로 합니다. 단, 수강생의 불가피한 해외 체류, 수업 수강생의 코로나19 다수 확진 또는 수강생 일부 자가격리, 대규모 인원 수업으로 인한 시험장 운영 문제 등 불가피한 사유가 있을 경우 비대면 시험 또는 과제물 대체가 허용됩니다.
※ 코로나19 확진자 격리기간 중 중간고사 대면 참여는 제한됩니다.

▶ 참고사항
○ 불응시 성적인정 제도: 코로나19 확진자 포함 질병, 병역 또는 그 밖의 부득이한 사유로 시험에 응시할 수 없는 학생은 학칙 제45조 제2항, 학사운영 규정 제69조 및 제70조 등에 근거하여 불응시 성적인정을 신청할 수 있습니다.
○ 평가방식: 각 개설 과목별로 정한 평가유형(절대평가 또는 상대평가) 및 기준에 따라 평가를 진행하며, 성적처리 등 자세한 평가일정에 대해서는 학기말 별도로 안내합니다.
○ ChatGPT등 생성형AI 활용 관련 유의사항: 본교의 ChatGPT등 AI의 기본 활용 가이드라인에 따라, 생성형 인공지능(Generative AI)의 교육적 활용 효과 및 부정적인 영향을 종합적으로 고려해 개별 수업의 교수자가 생성형 AI 허용여부(특히 과제물 제출관련)를 결정해 수강생들에게 안내 및 강의계획서에 명시 예정이니 확인 바랍니다.

▶ 기타 시험 운영관련 안내사항
※ 시험기간 중 시험 외 수업은 강의 개설 시 정한 방식(대면수업은 대면, 비대면수업은 비대면)대로 진행 가능합니다. 단, 수업시간 외 수업진행, 강의실 환경 등 부득이한 경우 비대면수업을 활용할 수 있습니다.
※ 고등교육법 및 교육부 지침에 따라 각 교과목은 한 학기 15주 법정수업일수를 충족해야 하며, 관련하여 휴강 및 보강 지침을 참고하시기 바랍니다.
※ 대면평가, 비대면 평가 및 과제물 부여 평가의 경우 1회 수업을 대체하는 것으로 인정됩니다.

[Notice for the Midterm-exam of the Spring Semester of 2023]

Greetings, this is Korea University Student Union.

Please find the schedule and notes for the midterm-exam for the Spring semester of 2023 as follows.

▶ Midterm-exam schedule:
April 20th (Thu) ~ Apri 26th (Wed)

▶ Midterm-exam shall be based on the face-to-face test, and non-face-to-face test or assignment replacement for the test is possible in cases where it is reasonable and necessary for the circumstances of each class(i.e. staying abroad of the student not at your own fault/multiple positive confirmation of Corona 19 among students and professor/large-scale enrollment class and so on). As of this time, individuals with COVID-19 are required to quarantine, so participation in in-person midterms during quarantine is limited.

▶ We recommend the following to teachers and staffs of administrative offices in each college about running the midterm-exam.
○ Consult and inform students about the test: Even if the test administration and evaluation method has already been announced through the syllabus, please make sure to consult with students in advance to ensure that the test is conducted without any confusion to your students.
○ Granted Grade System: Students who are unable to take the exam due to illness, military service, or other unavoidable reasons, including those with COVID-19, may apply for a Granted grade based on Article 45, Paragraph 2 of the Academic Regulations and Articles 69 and 70 of the Academic Administration Regulations.
○ Notes on the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI: In accordance with the university's basic guidelines for the use of AI such as ChatGPT, instructors of individual classes should decide whether to allow generative AI (especially in relation to submission of assignments) by comprehensively considering the educational benefits and negative effects of generative AI, and specify it in the instructions and syllabus.
○ Evaluation Methods: Students will be evaluated according to the evaluation type (absolute or relative) and criteria established for each course (see Attachmentd), and the detailed evaluation schedule, including grade processing, will be announced separately at the end of the semester.

▶ Other Guidelines for Test Operation
※ During the examination period, non-examination classes can be conducted in the manner prescribed at the beginning of the course (face-to-face for face-to-face classes, remote for remote (non-face-to-face) classes). However, if it is unavoidable, such as conducting classes outside of class hours or due to classroom environment, remote classes may be utilized.
※ In accordance with the Higher Education Act and Ministry of Education guidelines, each course must meet the 15-week statutory class period of a semester (30 classes in the case of twice-weekly classes and 15 classes in the case of once-weekly classes), and please refer to the guidelines for suspension and reinforcement in this regard.(See Attachment 5)
※ Face-to-face assessments, remote (non-face-to-face) assessments, and assignment-based assessments are recognized as substitutes for one class.
